Oesteoporosis Australia’s vision is "Healthy Bones for all Australians for life". With a keen interest in women’s health and wellbeing in the later years of life, Wyeth supports the work conducted by this worthy organisation. Currently donating $100,000 per annum to Oesteporosis Australia Wyeth has made a meaningful contribution to the prevention of Oesteoporosis in this country. Wyeth supports Oesteoporosis Australia’s key objectives that are to:
- Establish Osteoporosis as a major health issue
- Increase awareness of Osteoporosis throughout Australia
- Improve prevention & management strategies
- Increase GP & other health professionals understanding of Osteoporosis
- Act as an effective lobby voice in federal Government
- Fund research in bone metabolism and related issues
Osteoporosis Australia has achieved many positive results since 2000, when the organisation was restructured and with branches in each state, is the premier consumer body in the bone arena. Wyeth is honored to assist in the achievement of Oesteoporosis Australia’s mission to reduce the incidence of Osteoporosis and osteoporotic fractures in the Australian Community by 15% by the year 2010.
