Wyeth & Your Health

Wyeth is focused on addressing previously unmet medical needs in our community. Health and medical innovation are the cornerstones of everything we do.

From developing vaccines against the deadly pneumococcal disease to the discovery of solutions to address hospital acquired infections and antibiotic resistance, Wyeth is committed to ensuring Australians have access to the latest life changing and life saving treatments.

Wyeth sees itself as a partner in health - working collaboratively with governments, health care practitioners and patient organizations to deliver quality and cost effective medicines that contribute to Australia's and Australians' overall health and well-being.

For almost 80 years Wyeth has been an integral part of the health care sector in Australia. We were one of the first companies to commercially produce penicillin and one of the original producers of the polio vaccine. In partnership with the World Health Organisation, we helped to eradicate smallpox. Since then we've been working hard to find new and innovative ways to address the often debilitating conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and depression. This commitment has involved not just the development of quality medicines, but also the establishment of credible partnerships with the people and organizations charged with supporting and treating the patients for whom our products are designed to assist.
