After ten years of working as a travel consultant, I stopped to have a family. As my children got older I wanted to re-enter the workplace. I heard about a reception job going at Wyeth, which immediately appealed to me because of its flexibility. It was part-time and came with a time-share agreement, which, with the children, was extremely helpful. I ended up staying in the role for over ten years!I’d never anticipated to be in the job for so long, but Wyeth has such a great working environment - the people are extremely supportive and friendly and the work is never dull, so I didn’t want to leave! I’m still with the company, but am now working as a Clinical Meetings Associate, assisting with the organization of educational meetings for Healthcare Professionals.
To me, the best thing about working at Wyeth is the people. I always feel appreciated and everyone is so caring and warm. It’s such a rarity to genuinely enjoy going to work but at Wyeth there’s such a focus placed on making staff happy that the day-to-day atmosphere readily reflects that.
It’s also a workplace that really encourages its employees to grow and take on new opportunities. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, Wyeth will support you in that. I hope to be at Wyeth for another ten years, hopefully by then I’ll be working as the Senior Clinical Meetings Associate!
